Celebrating 125 years!

Specializing in scrapbooking and fine art papers! Custom colors and sizes in small quantities available in record time.

Have you heard the one about the paper mill in Central Wisconsin that produces only 40,000# per day...and that is on a good day? Yet, it has been in business since 1882, has employed nearly 500 people throughout those 125 years, has retired at least 250 with mill pensions and continues to provide a good standard of living for the current 51 employees and their families in 2006.

All of this has been accomplished with one little paper machine (trim 68" - 74"), which has been called a "toy" machine by some people. And, get this...it was recycling paper in 1980, long before recycling was the proper thing to do! Yes, the GEORGE A. WHITING PAPER COMPANY of Menasha, Wisconsin has produced quality paper for the printing and converting industries for over 125 years.

All of us at GEORGE A. WHITING PAPER COMPANY are proud to be part of papermaking history. We are one of the few independently owned paper mills in the U.S.A. today.

We are a text and cover paper manufacturer using 100% recycled fiber in many of our grades. Last year alone we had over 1200 runs; thats is an average of 23.1 runs per week. Talk about scheduling and putting runs up to the machine and color changes and weight changes! We are very grateful that a portion of these runs were repeats from customers throughout the year.

We are eager to tell you more about the little paper mill in Central Wisconsin-
